Meet Elijah Isbell, a student who shines bright every day at East Tate Elementary! Elijah sets a powerful example of the "Wildcat Way" by always being kind, respectful, and ready to help his peers. The Tate County School Board meeting this month was held at the Senatobia-Tate Career Technical Center. The evening began with a recognition of Coldwater Elementary School students who achieved high scores on recent assessments, acknowledging their academic performance.
Following the recognition, students representing various career technical programs addressed the Board. They provided insight into their programs and shared their positive experiences, emphasizing the skills they are gaining. The students concluded by expressing gratitude for the Board's ongoing support of Career Technical Education throughout Tate County.
It was an informative evening that celebrated both student academic achievement and commitment to career readiness.

They're using square units to fill the space of different shaped rectangles, counting the rows and columns, writing the addition/skip-counting sentence, and then using that to multiply to find the area.
This kind of practical learning helps students visualize and truly understand key math concepts. We love seeing our young learners engage so deeply!

Monday, November 3, the Superintendent Student Advisory Council was proudly represented at the Tate County Board of Supervisors meeting at the Tate County Courthouse! Baylee Brister and Londyn Haynes, 6th graders from Strayhorn Elementary, along with Strayhorn High School senior Aleigha Whittle, attended the meeting to gain a first-hand look at county government in action.
Special highlights—Baylee led the Pledge of Allegiance and Londyn opened the meeting in prayer while Aleigha sat with the Board of Supervisors throughout the meeting. Mike Wright of Independence High School also attended the meeting since he is interning under the Tate County Engineer. We are so proud of these students for representing Tate County Schools with excellence! #TogetherAchievingTeamExcellence

Meet Jonathan! He is in his second year of Unmanned Aircraft Systems and has already completed Engineering I and II. Jonathan is an exceptional student who puts forth tremendous effort to tackle every task in all of his classes. A natural leader, he has been flying drones since his first year of Engineering and continues to excel. Organized, driven, and dedicated, Jonathan sets a high standard in his CTC class and inspires those around him. Way to go, Jonathan! #TogetherAchievingTeamExcellence
It's a great day to run Cross Country for Tate County! Our Cross Country runners from Independence High and Strayhorn High attacked the course yesterday at the MHSAA State Cross Country Meet.
The energy on the course yesterday was incredible as our athletes pushed their limits and finished strong. Every mile, every sprint, every effort was a win for Tate County.
