Tate County School District Unveils New Child Nutrition Website

The Nutrition Services department is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals that are dedicated to students' health, well being and their ability to learn. We support learning by promoting healthy habits for lifelong nutrition and fitness practices. We are pleased to annouce that a mobile app is avaliable on Android and Apple devices that will allow parents and students to interact with a digital application that will not only educate on nutrition but encourage a healthier lifestyle. To eliminate paper waste and to also encourage our district to Go Green, parents and students can sign up and have the menus emailed to them every month along with a monthly SuperKids Nutrition Newsletter. These are just a few steps that we are taking to continually improve the quality of the menus we offer to our students and raise the bar on the standards of our school meals. Welcome to Coldwater Elementary School

Coldwater Elementary is a great place to grow and learn. I would like to thank you for letting me be a part of your child’s educational journey. My goal and commitment are to provide a safe environment along with a quality education for every student.

I know we have quite the journey ahead of us; therefore, teachers and students are working daily to meet and exceed all district and state requirements. By fostering a learning environment that is committed to engaging and challenging all students in every classroom each day, this goal is certainly obtainable.

My doors are always open, and I encourage you to stop by, make an appointment with your child’s teacher and/or with the administrative staff to see what good things are happening here on the elementary campus.

I am blessed to have such an awesome task and marvelous opportunity of grooming potential leaders and successful citizens. Every day is a great day and a chance for change along with academic growth. I am proud to be the leader of the Coldwater Elementary cubs who are growing into Cougars that ROAR!!

Superintendent's Notice of Campus Security Upgrades

Over the summer the District has contracted with security consultants to have evaluations done of all of our facilities.  Through these evaluations we have learned a great deal about making each one of our campuses more secure for our children.  We will be working over the next few months to put these recommendations in place.  Many changes you will be able to see.  Some may not be noticeable without careful inspection.  All of the changes will be aimed at making our facilities safer and more secure for your child.  In some of the cases there may be a slight inconvenience from the way things were done in the past.  We ask for your patience and consideration as we make this transition.  Our goal in Tate County is to provide a quality education in a safe and secure environment.

Daryl J Scoggin, Ed.D.
